[0:00] Now, I wonder if younger boys and girls would like to come and sit on the front. There's already two very young people there on the front, which you can either stay there if you want to, or you can just slip behind to the back there.

[0:13] But all the boys and girls who nearly come to the front for the children's talk in the church, or any others as well, who are sort of, you know, 12, 13 and under, if you want to come to the front, come now.

[0:26] They're usually not so shy and retiring. Usually they're very keen to come up. Okay, great. Good to see you. Now, we're going to do a few things this morning.

[0:37] As I said before, this is an all-age service, so it's for everybody, but wanting to include the young people as well. And so we're going to do a little bit of a quiz, okay, to start off with, because we have a memory verse.

[0:50] Hidden behind these bundles of wheat are some parts of a memory verse. It's going to be our memory verse for the day, and we're going to learn that memory verse in a moment. But to take away those bundles of wheat, you're going to have to answer some questions.

[1:04] Okay, each question has an answer which is either 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. So they're number questions. And you put your hand up if you know the answer, okay?

[1:15] Just boys and girls to begin with. If we really get stuck, I might ask some of the older, wiser Bible theologians and scholars amongst you as well. There must be one or two, I'm sure, somewhere in the congregation.

[1:27] So here's the first question, okay? How many people climbed a tree to see Jesus when he came into Jericho? How many people climbed a tree?

[1:40] Ania. One. And there's an extra point if you can tell me his name. Zacchaeus. Well done, Shirley. Zacchaeus, that's right. Ania, well done.

[1:53] So one person, it was Zacchaeus, climbed a tree, didn't he? Because he was a little man and he wanted to see Jesus. So you get the idea, okay? So the next question is, think of the number of Jesus' disciples and divide it by two.

[2:08] So math's question here. Number of Jesus' disciples, divide it by two. Adam. Six. Well done. Can you name all of them, Adam? No, that's all right. That's okay, I'm just joking.

[2:19] Six. Okay, so six is taken away. So we're getting a few words. And my, and then verse, the bottom. Right. Next question. How many men carried the paralyzed man to Jesus and lowered him through the roof?

[2:33] How many men? We're told how many it was. Josh. Four. Four. Sorry, Dennis. It was four. It was four. Four men carried him, didn't they?

[2:44] And they lowered him through the roof. They dug a hole in the roof and lowered him to Jesus. The Bible tells us accurately what goes on. It's a true record of events. So we've got a few more numbers left.

[2:55] Okay. Next question. How many times did Peter deny Jesus? Yeah, you tell me. Well done.

[3:05] Three. That's right. Three times Peter denied Jesus. But, don't remember, Jesus forgave Peter, didn't he? And he three times asked him, do you love me? And he restored Peter.

[3:17] So two left and five. So let's see. How many fish did Jesus need to feed the 5,000 people? Sorry, Dennis? Wrong.

[3:28] Sorry. I said after the children. Okay. They've got their hands up at the moment. How many fish, Rachel?

[3:42] No. Two fish. Two fish. How many loaves of bread, Dennis? How many loaves of bread did Jesus need to feed the 5,000?

[3:58] You said you weren't going to answer. You tell me. Five. Yeah, I think that's it. Okay. So, here's our memory verse. We're going to read it all of us out loud together.

[4:12] Okay. And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

[4:23] Philippians chapter 4, verse 19. Let's read it all together once more. And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

[4:38] Philippians chapter 4, verse 19. Very good. We're going to be thinking about that because notice that we have needs. We're thinking about God providing our needs, providing our food.

[4:52] But we have other needs as well that God has provided, but they all are met in Jesus Christ, in Christ Jesus. He gives us everything we need. And to him we can trust and look.

[5:02] Now, we're going to do something this morning which we've not done before. And it will either go well or not. Okay. We're going to sing a children's song with actions. Okay.

[5:14] So, does anybody know this song? Any of the big people know this song? Gene does? Yeah, a few do. Okay. Do you boys and girls know it? It's very, very easy.

[5:24] Okay. The actions are simply this. Okay. God. We point up to heaven because the Bible says heaven is his home. Okay. God is good. You put your thumbs up and something's good, don't you?

[5:37] Yeah. To me. Point your thumbs back to yourself. God is good to me. Okay. So, that's very easy. And then we've got four verses. So, the God is good to me.

[5:47] We repeat. That's easy. Then, he made the world. Okay. Made the world with just his word. Because the Bible tells us God spoke.

[5:57] Let there be light. And there was light. God spoke the world into being. So, that's the first verse. He made the world with just his word. God is good to me. Second verse is he sends the rain. Okay.

[6:08] Sends the rain to swell the grain. I want to put it in your hand like a piece of grain to make it big like that. Okay. To swell the grain. God is good to me. So, sends the rain. Swell the grain. He grows the wheat.

[6:20] I want your fingers to be like stalks of wheat. For bread to eat. Big sandwich. Okay. Bread to eat. And the last one, of course, reminds us what we're thinking about especially. He gave his son.

[6:32] Now, we know Christmas is coming soon. And we think about Jesus Christ, God's son, being born as a baby. So, imagine you're holding a baby. Gave his son. The Lord Jesus. God became a man for us to save from sin.

[6:45] How did Jesus save us from our sins? He died on the cross for us. So, it shut our arms, reminding us that he died on the cross. Okay. So, it's really, really easy. So, I think the boys and girls can stand up.

[6:57] Okay. Just on the front row. Older folk, they can sit down. Okay. They need the rest. Okay. So, you boys and girls stand up on the front. And you're going to do the actions with me. And if you want to join in with the actions, you can.

[7:09] If you don't want to, that's fine. It's not a problem at all. Okay. But it's a very, very easy song. So, you stand up. There's no music. We're going to sing it without music. Okay. It's nice and loud. If you know the song, please sing nice and loud as well.

[7:22] Okay. So, we'll go back to the beginning. Here's our first. It goes like this. God is good to me. God is good to me. He made the world with just his word.

[7:35] God is good to me. God is good to me. God is good to me. He sends the rain to swell the grain.

[7:46] God is good to me. God is good to me. God is good to me. He grows the wheat for bread to eat.

[7:57] God is good to me. Last one. God is good to me. God is good to me. He gave his son to save from sin, God is good to me.

[8:11] Brilliant. Sit down. That's very good. Well done. Okay, so that's what we're learning about, aren't we, this morning. God's goodness to us in giving us all these wonderful things, but especially in giving us his son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

[8:27] Now, when we think about harvest and we think about food, we think about farmers, of course. And in Whitby as well, of course, we could say we think about fishermen as well, because they go out and bring in the harvest from the sea.

[8:39] But we're going to think about farmers particularly this morning. And throughout the Bible, there are all lots and lots of different people who are farmers. Right at the very start, Cain and Abel were farmers.

[8:50] Cain grew crops, we're told, and Abel looked after sheep. And then Abraham, he had great flocks and herds of sheep. He was a farmer in that sense as well.

[9:01] King David, shepherd before he became the king. Who else? Elisha the prophet. First time we find Elisha in the Bible, he's plowing a field with two oxen.

[9:12] And Elijah comes. Oh, I'm not sure why that's done there. And then Jeremiah as well. He was a prophet, but also God said, go and buy a field, because God is going to keep his promise for the people to return.

[9:25] So there's lots of other people as well in the Bible who are farmers. But also, there's stories about farmers too. And we're going to read about the story of one farmer.

[9:36] You don't need to, you can stay there guys for now. And that's found in Luke in chapter 12. If you want to follow it in your Bible, you can. But it's going to come up on our screen as well. Luke in chapter 12, where Jesus is going to tell us about a particular farmer.

[9:50] And we're going to learn from him today. So Luke in chapter 12, beginning at verse 13. Okay.

[10:05] And here is what happened. Someone in the crowd said to him, that's Jesus, teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.

[10:16] Jesus replied, man, who made me a judge or an arbiter? Between you. Then he said to them, watch out. Be on your guard against all kinds of greed.

[10:27] A man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions. And he told them this parable. So somebody has come to Jesus.

[10:38] And they've said to Jesus, I want you to sort out a problem. I want what's mine. I want the money from my inheritance. And that means that perhaps my father has died and me and my brother were arguing over how much money we can have.

[10:52] Jesus gives a warning. Be on your guard against greed. Why? Because a man's life, a person's life, does not consist in the abundance of possessions. Life is more than just the things that we have.

[11:05] And he told them this parable. Parable. Now a parable in the Bible is a story with a very important meaning. Okay? So whenever you come across that word in your Bible, Jesus told lots of parables.

[11:16] They're stories that Jesus tells us. But they teach us something very important about God and about how we know God. So here's the story. The parable.

[11:27] It tells us this. The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop. So here's a farmer. Because he's got a crop. He's got a field. We don't know what he's growing.

[11:38] Jesus doesn't tell us that. But we know something about him. We know he's rich. He's a rich farmer. Not like Yorkshire farmers, are they? All Yorkshire farmers are poor. Okay? They just have to ask them.

[11:49] They're poor. But no, this is a rich farmer, probably from Lancashire. Or somewhere like that. One of those rich places. And anyway, here's a farmer. He's a rich farmer.

[12:00] And the thing is, he's going to get even richer. Because he's had a bumper crop. A good crop. He's gone and sowed all the fields and ploughed them. And he's gone and made it.

[12:10] And he's had a big, big harvest. So that's great, isn't it? He's rich. And he's going to get richer still. You would think that would make him a very, very happy man. But, actually, it makes him a very worried man.

[12:24] He thought to himself, What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops. It presented him a problem. Having more didn't make him happier.

[12:35] It made him more worried. Some people think, perhaps you're one of those people who think, If only I had more money. Oh, my life would be so much easier. So much better. If only I had more money.

[12:47] I wouldn't have any worries. Well, here's a man. He got more. And in fact, he found as his money increased, Or his crops increased, His worries increased as well. And that's true for many people.

[12:58] Getting more money means more worries. What shall I do with it? How shall I use it? Where shall I place it? And so on. I have no place to store my crops. But he has a great idea.

[13:10] He says, Then he said, This is what I'll do. I'll tear down my barns. That's a bit of a strange thing to do, isn't it? He hasn't got any room for all of his crop, So he's going to tear all his barns down.

[13:22] Well, that doesn't seem a very good idea. But that's only half the idea. The rest of his idea is this. And build bigger ones. And there I'll store all my grain and good.

[13:34] More money means bigger barns. And sometimes we think that if we had more money, That would mean be great, Because we could get bigger things. We've got a house now, And it's a nice house.

[13:45] But if we had more money, We could have a bigger house. And we've got a car to drive around. But if we had more money, We could have a bigger car or a nicer car. And we've got clothes to wear, But we could have better clothes.

[13:56] And so we keep on thinking, More money will make me happier, Because I can have more, Bigger, Better, Greater things. And perhaps for a little while, That's maybe what happens, When we get more money.

[14:12] That it might make us happier, For a little bit. It did this man, Because he thinks to himself, And I'll say to myself, You have plenty of good things, Laid up for years, Many years.

[14:27] He thinks, Oh, the future is bright. Now I've got all this crops, And therefore I'm richer than ever before. I'm going to have no more worries for me, For years to come. I'm going to have great, Good future.

[14:41] Take life easy, He thinks. Eat, drink, And be merry. He's going to maybe take early retirement. He's got a fantastic pension plan laid up.

[14:53] No more work for him, Living the life he always wanted, Cruising, Holidaying, No stress, No worries, No problems.

[15:05] But, That's what he thought. That's what many people think. If I could have more money, I could retire, Or I wouldn't have to work so hard, Or life would be easier, Or all these things.

[15:17] But, This isn't the end of the story for this man. Because, Jesus goes on and says this, But God said to him, You fool.

[15:28] But God said to him, You fool. That sounds rather rude, Doesn't it? For God. For God to say to somebody, You're a fool. Well, The Bible makes it very clear.

[15:39] In one of the Psalms, It says this, The fool says in his heart, There is no God. Psalm 14. To live without recognizing God, As part of our lives, And not giving God the rightful place in our lives, Is the most stupid thing to do.

[15:56] No matter how clever and intelligent you might be, No matter how rich you are, If we do not include God in our plans, And if God is not part of our lives, Then we really are foolish.

[16:08] And this man had just done that. He hadn't thought about God. He hadn't had any concern for God. He'd only thought about himself. That's what the Bible calls sin.

[16:19] Sin is not just bad things that we do. Sin is simply this, Living without recognizing God in our lives, As the rightful king of our lives.

[16:30] And that's not all God said to him. He didn't just say you're a fool. God said this to him. This very night, Your life will be demanded from you. In other words, Tonight you're going to die.

[16:43] He'd made all these plans for the years ahead. He thought life was going to be easy for years to come. But the truth is that life is uncertain. We may have plans.

[16:54] You may have plans for the future. Thinking about what tomorrow will do. Or next week will do. Maybe plans about jobs. Or university. Or school. Or colleges. Or retirement. All sorts of things about getting married.

[17:07] You see, our lives are not in our own hands. God is the God who's given us life. God has the right. And he will, in his right time, Take away that life.

[17:18] Our life is not in our control. Money can't buy us the things that we need. Riches can only bring us bigger barns. But they can't prevent us from facing death. They can't prevent us from knowing that we are mortal.

[17:32] And our lives are just here and now. None of those things can prevent us from being ill. Or any of the things that we need. And they can't find us and buy us the happiness. And the contentment that we're looking for.

[17:44] So the Bible makes it clear. Just as we have sinned. The Bible says, The wages, the consequence of sin is death. That we shall die. That we shall die.

[17:55] And have to stand before God. And so the question really is this. Who will get what you've prepared for yourself? Who's going to get all the money that you're saving up.

[18:05] And working for? Where is it all going to go? Often when somebody dies. Or they think about money. People say, Oh well you can't take it with you. That's true. The Egyptians of course thought that they could.

[18:16] Didn't they? Those you've done Egyptians at school. They built those great big pyramids. And filled them with gold and treasures. And servants. And all sorts of things. Thinking they could take those things with them. But you can't.

[18:27] When we die. All that we have in this world. Goes to somebody else. It doesn't do us any good. We can't use it. We can't buy our way into heaven. Or buy eternal life.

[18:39] Everything is lost. We need something else. More than money. We need something else. More than the things in this world.

[18:49] So Jesus concluded. This is the story. This is the end. This is the punchline. As it were. Of the parable. About the rich farmer. This is how it will be. With anyone.

[18:59] Who stores up things for himself. But is not rich towards God. See there's a way. There are two ways to live. In our world. We can live like the rich farmer did.

[19:09] Live for ourselves. Live for self. Live for me. Live for what I can get out of life. But it didn't stop him worrying. Did it? It didn't make him happy. No.

[19:21] The other way to live of course. Is to live in right relationship with God. Through Jesus his son. To know him. And trust him. And what a difference that makes.

[19:32] As we'll see in just a few moments. As Jesus carries on. Teaching about living. And about God's provision for us. So we're going to sing again together.

[19:43] So boys and girls. Those who came to the front. You can go back to your seats for a moment. We're going to sing. A song which is just going to be on the projector. Here. Some of you I hope will know it.

[19:53] We learned it on Wednesday. So those of you here on Wednesday. Will be able to sing out well. It goes like this. The earth is the Lord's. And everything in it.

[20:04] The earth is the Lord's. The work of his hands. We sing that through. And then there's a chorus as well. Now as you can see. The men sing the first line. The earth is the Lord's.

[20:15] And the women sing the second line. So we go like that. All the way through. And then in the last line. We all sing it together. Alright. Does anybody else know this? Anybody know this song? Good.

[20:27] So those of you on Wednesday. Sing out. I'll just ask Maestro please. To play through this part for us. So we just get an idea of it goes. Is that right? I'll play that verse.

[20:38] Yeah. And then we come in. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. It's like. It's like a song. I'll sing it together. I love you.

[20:48] I love you. It's like every music is great. Well, you can move down it on another Seite. I love you. And then we do it again. Let me 가운데. Good, Lord. Good, Lord. Bet, I'll be right into you. It's like our song near men. Just be one of the glucos, I like your harp tirits, I NovaBY perfume on, Plus, I too me dzięki.

[20:59] Well, I like char insight the man to the holy shit out of it. To be changed the way they're the gospel. This is strange how they're theaur, I'm wearing theSeria for both staff. And then you know what like everything that is? The earth is the lost, the earth is the lost, the earth is the lost, the earth is the lost, and all things will be known as glory.

[21:26] The mountains are east, the seas of the islands, the cities and towns, the houses and seas, and tribals come down, and I should be pouring, for all things will be known as glory.

[21:50] The earth is the lost, the earth is the lost, the earth is the lost, the earth is the lost, and all things will be known as glory.

[22:13] The mountains are east, the seas of the islands, the cities and towns, the houses and seas, and tribals come down, and I should be pouring, for all things will be known as glory.

[22:36] The earth is the lost, the earth is the lost, the earth is the lost, the earth is the lost, the earth is the lost, and everything will be known as glory.

[23:04] Amen. A important story about a man who lived for himself, who was rich, but unhappy, and more than that especially, who thought that everything was in his control.

[23:45] His life, his destiny, he had it all planned out, but God surprised him, and showed him that life does not consist of the things that we own and possess.

[23:56] That life is not in our control, it's in God's, and that we must, we must make sure that God is part of our lives. Now we're going to read from Jesus as he explains about why, and what it means to know God and trust him in Jesus, and the difference that it really makes to these, to each one of us.

[24:15] So, we're back in Luke, and Jesus then said to his disciples, so these are disciples, these are people who put their trust in Jesus, that's what a disciple is, somebody who's a follower of Jesus, who puts their trust in him, and knows him.

[24:30] And so, what does Jesus say to them? Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. Remember, that man worried, didn't he?

[24:41] What shall I do with all these crops? Money brings worries, but when we are a follower of Jesus, he tells us not to worry. We don't need to be those who worry.

[24:53] And so, this is those who put their trust in him, what a difference it makes, the person who lives and knows God. So, what, Jesus gives us reasons not to worry.

[25:05] Why shouldn't we worry? Why should we trust him and put our faith in him? Well, first of all, Jesus says, life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.

[25:16] The things around about us don't make life, do they? We know that, because we know that love is so important. You can have all the money, and all the riches, and all the food, and all the clothes, but if we didn't have love, we'd be very, very miserable.

[25:32] And if we didn't have laughter and joy, if we didn't have peace in our hearts, if we didn't have satisfaction and contentment, all these things, friendship, all these things, if they were missing from our lives, we'd just have money and clothes, well, and food, well, we'd be desperately unhappy.

[25:50] There's more to life. Sadly, many people don't realize that. They think that the answer is to have things. If you have more things, if you have more of this and more of that, then that will make you happy.

[26:04] No, says Jesus, life is more than that. This is the truth. You and I have been created with a soul. We're not just physical people. We are spiritual people. We have a soul which needs to be in a right relationship with God.

[26:18] We were made for his glory, as we sang, made to know him. Now, another reason Jesus gives is this. Consider the ravens, the birds.

[26:29] They do not sow or reap. They have no storeroom or barn, yet God feeds them. Think of the birds, beautiful and wonderful birds in the world around about us. They don't worry.

[26:39] They don't have to go out and work each day and plant seeds and so on. They go and eat the farmer's seeds, of course, we know. But the truth is this, that God cares for his creation.

[26:52] The Bible says God has compassion on all he's made. He's the one who feeds his creation. And if he feeds ravens, birds, well, says Jesus, how much more valuable you are than birds.

[27:07] We aren't just animals. People are not just evolved animals. We are those who have been given a soul and a spirit that we might know God. We are different in so many ways from birds and animals in the world.

[27:20] But if God provides for them and gives them seed and food, how much more will he provide for us since he cares for us? And we know that we are valuable to God.

[27:31] We know that we are precious to him. How do we know that? Because he gave the greatest gift of all when he gave his son, the Lord Jesus Christ. He gave him to suffer and to die for us, to purchase for us, to buy for us what we need most of all.

[27:47] Forgiveness for our sins. Everlasting life beyond the grave. Peace with God. To know him as our friend. To pay off our debts. And give us life everlasting.

[28:00] We are so valuable. Whatever people think about themselves, whatever you think about yourself, let me say to you, the Bible says to you, you're valuable to God. You're important and special to God.

[28:12] You may not think much of yourself. You may think I'm just one amongst a big family. Or I'm just one amongst a big company. But to God, we are valuable. And if he cares for the birds, then he cares for us.

[28:25] Another reason why Jesus tells us not to worry is this. Who of you, by worrying, can add a single hour to his life? Since you can't do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

[28:39] Worrying never got anybody anything apart from wrinkles and ulcers. Worrying never does any good, does it? It doesn't solve the problem. It doesn't make difficulties go away.

[28:51] Worry just wears us down and wears us out. And Jesus said you can't even add an hour to your life by worrying. You can't do anything useful by worrying.

[29:01] So there's no point. Better to trust in him and put your faith in him than to worry yourself to death, as it were. Then he gives another reason. Look at the lilies.

[29:14] Consider the lilies. The beautiful flowers. They don't labor or spin. You don't see a flower in the field having to produce clothes for themselves.

[29:26] But, says Jesus, yet I tell you, not even Solomon. Solomon was the greatest and richest king in the Bible. Not even Solomon in all of his splendor was dressed like one of these.

[29:38] Solomon, we're told, had all sorts of riches and a wonderful temple and a wonderful palace. But imagine, you've seen the beauty of the creation, the beauty of God's world, the fields around about us.

[29:50] Much more beautiful than the most elaborate clothes that they wear at London Fashion Week. Most marvelous clothes are still just very poor compared to that.

[30:02] And, if God dresses the fields in that way, he'll dress us. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field which is here today and tomorrow, thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith?

[30:18] Flowers grow up and they die. And, of course, just a few weeks or months, that's all. And then God reclothes them again in the next spring.

[30:28] We have eternal souls. We have things that shall never die. We shall never die. We shall either be with God in heaven or we shall be in hell.

[30:40] Eternal places, everlasting places. And God is able to provide for us what we need. Not just in this life, but in eternal life as well. So we need to have faith in him.

[30:52] You of little faith. That's the reason why many people run after the things of this world. That's why many people look for answers in all sorts of ways apart from God. Because they won't trust in him.

[31:03] And they hope they can find them elsewhere. No, says Jesus. Do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink. Don't worry about those things. Being a Christian is wonderfully freeing and liberating.

[31:17] It frees us from worries. It doesn't free us from troubles. It doesn't free us from difficulties when we follow Jesus. Times are tough and hard. But it frees us from having to worry ourselves.

[31:29] Because we know that we can trust. We can trust in a God who cares for us. Another reason he gives then is this. For godless people run after all these things.

[31:41] As I said, people who don't know God are running all over the place. Trying to find answers. You see it on the television all the time, don't you? People running after things.

[31:53] Whether it be the X Factor. Or Britain's Got Talent. Or The Voice. Hoping for celebrity and fame. Or people having programs about what to wear and what not to wear.

[32:04] And what to eat. And Britain's Bake Off. All those things. People are so consumed with those things. But that's because they don't know God. Now, I'm not saying you shouldn't watch Bake Off.

[32:16] Okay? I'm not saying that you shouldn't watch X Factor if you really have to. But these things don't satisfy. These things don't give us that peace that we need with God.

[32:30] And life everlasting. People without God run around after all these things. And they seem to be running and running. And never finding what they're looking for. No, Jesus says. Your father knows that you need them.

[32:41] See, when we become a Christian and put our faith in Jesus Christ. Something marvelous happens. We become children of God. We become those who are part of his family. And under his care.

[32:53] And God knows what we need. He knows every need that you have. Whether it's a need for something practical. Whether it's a need for a friend. Whether it's a need for help.

[33:04] Whether it's a need for any need. Particularly, as we said. That need to know God in our lives. James in chapter 1 says this. Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father above.

[33:18] We have a God. Who becomes our heavenly Father. When we put our trust in him. So he knows we need these things. We don't need to run around after them. And finally, Jesus said this. This is what we must do.

[33:30] Seek his kingdom. God's kingdom. And these things will be given to you as well. See, God has made his son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

[33:40] The King of kings. He's the King of a wonderful kingdom. A place in which we know God. A place in which we have all our needs provided. A place in which we know life to the full.

[33:54] A place in which we know that we are heading for heaven for sure. And if we have Jesus as our King. Then we can have that assurance as well. That everything else he will provide.

[34:06] So the big question really for each of us is this morning. Do we know Jesus as our King? Have we trusted in him as our King? Have we asked him to be the King of our lives?

[34:18] To forgive us for our sins? Have we asked him to be the one who meets our needs and provides for us forgiveness? He'll do that. He wants to do that. Seek his kingdom.

[34:30] Seek it. That means look for. Ask for. From God. That he might give to you those wonderful things that you need as well. So we're going to sing our final hymn this morning.

[34:43] Come you thankful people come. Raise the song of harvest home. And in this hymn that we sing it tells us some incredible truths. That Jesus Christ is coming again.

[34:57] And he will take those who are his to be with him forever in heaven. But those who've rejected him. Those who haven't put their faith in him will be cast into the fire.

[35:09] Will be lost forever. And what will we do with money and things and food and clothes. So let's stand and sing our final hymn.

[35:19] Come you thankful people come. Raise a song of harvest home. Come you thankful people come.

[35:34] Raise the song of harvest home. Come you thankful people come.

[35:45] Come you thankful people come. Come you thankful people come. Raise the song of harvest home. Birds and crops of Galilee.

[35:57] Sleaf with all the stones we give. God our faith that we'll provide. For our needs to be survived.

[36:10] Come you thankful people come. Raise the song of harvest home. All the world is not a deal.

[36:26] Love is promised, praise to you. Bees and peace together. Hear the song.

[36:38] Hear the song of harvest home. Come you thankful people come. First, the faith that we can be near. Let the hope of child of care.
